Motorised Props

Whether you have an existing prop that needs to be automated or you are currently in the build process, our services will allow your prop to be fully motorised to give a real life effect and/or function.

We know that different projects require different capabilities from props, and therefore our software is compatible with a whole range of motors that you may use in a prop.

However, If you are unsure of the appropriate motor, then we are also happy to offer our engineering advice to help you choose the best motor for the size and desired function of the prop/project.

If you don’t see what you are looking for, get in contact with us and we can discuss your requirements.

Dials and Gauges

Think Dead Reckoning or Hijack - dials and gauges are either key to the narrative or lingering in the background to complete the set.

If integrated with another automated prop, like a button or gearstick, when the actor interacts, the dial will change its behaviour to reflect those actions. Enhancing that level of realism for the actor and allowing more effects to be in camera instead of added in post.

Clocks

What better way of showing the passage of time than with an automated clock?

Once automated, you are able to control functions such as the speed, hand direction and default position.

Linear Actuators

If you want something opened or pushed on command

or

as a result of an actors interaction with another prop, then Linear actuators are what you need.

Visit our 'door entry' prop to see a great example of when a linear actuator could be integrated with another prop to open a door.
